An Inspector Calls: GCSE Revision Videos
As we roll into a new academic year we’re pleased to announce a new season of our EDUCATE project. A series of character revision videos for GCSE English students for their core text, An Inspector Calls by J.B. Priestley.
This Project will be led by Yas Savage and Alice Thorley.
The Educate project
This project builds on the success and learnings of the previous EDUCATE season which delivered an abridged, interactive version of Macbeth to GCSE students in schools in York. Alice and Yas will build on this work, creating accessible, engaging content for the same age group.

The Team aims to bring the energy and excitement of live theatre to students across the country. Accessible short-form videos feel like the best way to reach more students and support them with their exams.

An Inspector Calls
Six characters, several interwoven families and one death.
Set in Brumley in 1912, An Inspector Calls follows the Birling family as a joyous night of celebration quickly descends into one of guilt, chaos and despair.
This classic has been taught to GCSE students for years. Teachers often use the 2015 film directed by Aisling Walsh to help their students engage with the material.
Students will be able to pick a video and watch as our company guide them through each character’s emotional journey. Watch how they respond to the pressure of the Inspector’s interrogation and witness how each changes and develops throughout the acts.
